On Tuesday November 8 of 2016, the lives of everyone in the United States of America changed. This of course was the date of the presidential election where Donald Trump managed to defeat Hillary Clinton, in what many people assumed would be a landslide in the opposite direction. An important detail is that despite Hillary Clinton winning the popular vote, she did not attain enough electoral votes to win the presidency.

For some people, Donald Trump’s victory was looked upon as the beginning of the end, or the first stage of failure for the United States of America; for others, this is seen as the first step toward #MAGA. It is interesting to consider how this presidential election has shown everyone in the USA just how divided this nation can be as some people have declared that “This campaign has divided us in ugly ways” (Guardian News and Media).

At this point, the nation will begin to see if all that President Trump said during his campaign and during the presidential debates are things that he plans to do during his tenure as POTUS. Will the Affordable Care Act be repealed?  Will Trump build a wall on the borderline of Mexico? Is President Trump going to back out of NATO?

Only time will tell.

In the meantime, be sure to follow President Donald Trump on Twitter:  @POTUS and @realDonaldTrump
